Kai Wendt

Kai Wendt has extensive work experience in the fashion industry, holding various leadership roles. Kai is currently the Director of Operations at Akris since February 2021. Prior to that, they worked at T.M.C.lothing GmbH re.draft as the Head of Sourcing, Buying & Production from July 2017 to January 2021. Kai also worked at Akris as the Head of Production from 2016 to 2017. Before that, they held positions at Marc O'Polo International GmbH as the Head of Production Woven & Quality Control from 2008 to 2015 and as the Quality Assurance Manager for webware from 2004 to 2008. Kai started their career at Otto (GmbH & Co KG) as the Head of Quality Development from 2002 to 2004 and as a Central Quality Developer from 1999 to 2001. Kai also worked as a Quality Developer at Otto from 1997 to 1999. Kai began their career in 1992 as an International Technician at JOBIS Bekleidungsindustrie GmbH & Co KG.

Kai Wendt completed a degree in "Bekleidungstechnik" (Clothing Technology) from Technische Akademie Hohenstein from 1990 to 1992. Prior to that, from 1986 to 1989, Kai Wendt attended Klaus Modelle Pforzheim and obtained a degree as a "Bekleidungsschneider" (Clothing Tailor).
