Matt Hortman

Matt Hortman is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in project leadership and system architecture, currently serving as a Senior Project Software Engineer at Rockwell Automation since September 2016. Hortman has played a pivotal role in the development of the ThinManager thin-client management suite, overseeing both server and client software, as well as spearheading innovative solutions such as a patented Docker container system for thin-client devices. In addition to expertise at Flint River Systems, Inc. and AkroMetrix, LLC, Hortman has contributed to numerous projects across various companies, including Automation Control Products and Scientific Conservation Inc., where significant advancements in cloud-based technology and software engineering were achieved. Hortman holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and dual Bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Mercer University.
