Sara Padrell, PhD has extensive work experience in the field of regenerative medicine and stem cell research. Sara began their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Saskatchewan in 2007 and later worked as a Laboratory Technician at Andrés Pintaluba S.A. in 2008. Sara then joined FH- Campus Wien as a Research Assistant in 2011, followed by roles as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) from 2011 to 2012 and at IRB Barcelona from 2012 to 2013. Sara also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Barcelona in 2013.

In 2014, Sara started their PhD studies at Karolinska Institutet, where they focused on developing a protocol to differentiate human pluripotent stem cells into retinal pigment epithelium (RPE)-like cells for the treatment of age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Sara conducted genomic, tumorigenicity, and biodistribution studies to ensure the safety of the obtained product. Sara'sPhD was completed in 2020.

After completing their PhD, Sara joined 株式会社ヘリオス as a Director of Business Development from 2018 to 2020, where they were involved in expanding business opportunities. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Business Development, Europe at Akron Biotech from August 2020.

Sara Padrell, PhD, has an extensive education history in the field of biotechnology and molecular biology. Sara started their academic journey in 1999 at IES Gabriel i Ferrater where they pursued their secondary education.

In 2005, they enrolled at Universitat Pompeu Fabra where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Human Biology. The following years, from 2007 to 2011, they attended Universitat Rovira i Virgili earning another Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology with a focus on Molecular Biology.

Continuing their educational pursuits, Sara attended Universitat de Barcelona from 2012 to 2013 and achieved a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology with a specialization in Molecular Biology. Subsequently, in 2013-2014, they pursued a Master's degree in Biomedicine at the same university.

Finally, Sara completed their academic journey by obtaining a PhD in a field that is not specified.
