Brittany Rizzo

Brittany Rizzo has a diverse and extensive background in veterinary medicine and animal care. Brittany is currently the owner and veterinarian of Wild Ride Animal Transport LLC since August 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Animal Health at Akron Zoo starting in June 2018. Brittany also served as an Associate Veterinarian at Akron Zoo from June 2015 to June 2018. Before joining Akron Zoo, Brittany was a Veterinary Intern at The Toledo Zoo from July 2013 to June 2015. Brittany also gained experience as a Veterinary Intern at Valley Animal Hospital and Reid Park Zoo from June 2012 to June 2013.

Brittany Rizzo earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Animal Sciences from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2006. Brittany then went on to receive their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota in 2012.
