Ivan Nikolas Tambunan

Ivan Nikolas Tambunan has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Ivan Nikolas is currently the co-founder and CEO of Akseleran since March 2017, where they focus on empowering Indonesian startups and SMEs by providing access to capital through marketplace lending. At Allen & Overy, where they worked as an Associate from February 2012 to March 2017, Ivan specialized in transactional banking law, particularly in leverage finance, real estate finance, project finance, and general lending. Ivan Nikolas played a key role in advising on notable transactions such as the acquisition of Newmont Nusa Tenggara by Medco and AP Investment. Prior to that, Ivan served as an Associate at Makarim & Taira S. from September 2011 to January 2012. Ivan Nikolas also worked as an Associate at AFS Partnership from November 2009 to May 2011, where they gained extensive experience in litigation matters such as commercial disputes, bankruptcy proceedings, and intellectual property rights disputes. Ivan has proven their expertise in criminal law, including banking-related crimes, fraud, and corruption.

Ivan Nikolas Tambunan completed their education with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in Law from the University of Indonesia. This took place between 2005 and 2009. Following this, Ivan pursued further studies and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Law and Finance from Queen Mary University of London, which they completed in the academic year 2013-2014.
