Bang Nguyen has extensive work experience in engineering project management and application engineering. Bang started their career at Korea Maritime & Ocean University as a Researcher, where they focused on researching NURBS theory and its application in Naval Architecture. Bang also applied optimization algorithms and machine learning in ship design during their time there. After their time at the university, Bang joined Akselos as an Application Engineer, where they served as a mid-senior leader of a sub-production team, specializing in the field of Compressor, Turbine, and Wind turbine assets. Bang focused on contact problems, composite materials, and asset life assessment. Bang later progressed to the role of Senior Application Engineer and then Project Manager, before eventually becoming a Senior Engineering Project Manager at Akselos.

Bang Nguyen completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree at Bach Khoa University (formerly Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology) from 2009 to 2014. Bang then pursued a Master's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at Korea Maritime & Ocean University from 2015 to 2017. In terms of additional certifications, Bang has obtained several certifications including "Bayesian Methods for Machine Learning" from HSE University in February 2021, "Mandarin Chinese 1: Chinese for Beginners" from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in November 2020, "Mechanics of Materials I: Fundamentals of Stress & Strain and Axial Loading" from Georgia Institute of Technology in August 2020, "Introduction to Deep Learning & Neural Networks with Keras," "Machine Learning with Python," and "Scalable Machine Learning on Big Data using Apache Spark" from IBM in March 2020, and "AI for Everyone" and "Machine Learning" from Stanford University in September 2019 and March 2019, respectively.
