Sam Auger is a Senior Engineer at AKT II since September 2024, having previously served as a Senior Structural Engineer at Hydrock from September 2018 to September 2024. Sam’s experience encompasses roles as a Project Structural Engineer and Graduate Structural Engineer within Hydrock, alongside a voluntary position as a Civil Engineer for Sport in Action in 2017, focusing on the construction of a netball court and facility restoration. Prior experience includes a student placement at Amec Foster Wheeler as an Assistant Civil Engineer from August 2015 to July 2016, where responsibilities involved designing a drainage system for the Access to Headington Scheme. Sam Auger holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Bath, completed in 2018, and prior educational qualifications include A-levels in Mathematics, Design & Technology, and Physics, as well as 10 GCSEs from Wellington College.

AKT II
AKT II is a design-led structural and civil engineering consultancy that has won over 300 awards for its work in the UK and across the world. The practice was formed in 1996 as Adams Kara Taylor and later known as AKT. In 2011, with the addition of two new Principals and as the next chapter in its progress, the practice was renamed AKT II. We believe in providing a high value and quality-driven model which draws on a wealth of experience through to the successful delivery of a project. In addition to the project work undertaken we work with academic institutions, industry forums, and design councils to enrich our knowledge and the projects on which we collaborate.
