Nischal Rao

Nischal Rao currently works as a Principal Engineer, AI/ML and NLP at Aktana since November 2023. Previously, they worked at Tact.ai as a Principal Engineer from June 2016 to October 2023. Before that, they were a Software Engineer (NLP) Intern at Muko Inc. in 2015, where they developed a Named Entity Recognition system with a high F1 score of 0.84. Nischal also has experience as a Senior Software Engineer at SuccessFactors, an SAP Company, from August 2010 to July 2014, where they designed and developed various tools and frameworks for the application.

Nischal Rao completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Information Science and Engineering at RV College Of Engineering from 2006 to 2010. Nischal then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science with a specialization in Data Science at the University of Southern California from 2014 to 2016.
