Osmo Timonen

Osmo Timonen is currently the Director and Head of Regulatory Data at Aktia, where they oversee data warehousing and reporting development within the CFO organization. Prior to joining Aktia in 2022, they served as the Head of Regulatory Reporting at Kuntarahoitus Oyj from 2020 to 2022, leading processes related to regulatory risk calculations and reporting. Osmo's earlier experience includes a role as a Senior Business Consultant at BearingPoint, focusing on financial services regulation and project management for major banks in Europe. They have also worked in various roles in trading and finance, including as a Futures Trader at Futex Ltd and as a part-time Equity Analyst at Inderes Oy. Osmo is pursuing a Ph.D. in Law at the University of Helsinki, having previously obtained an MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Oxford and a Master’s in Contemporary Political History from the University of Helsinki.
