Chris Hoffman

Chris Hoffman has a diverse work experience that spans over several decades. Chris currently holds the role of VP, Government Affairs at Aktiv Pharma Group, starting in October 2022. Prior to this, Chris worked in various positions at the United States Department of Defense. Chris served as the Principal Director of the Chemical and Biological Defense Program, where they coordinated activities and ensured alignment with strategic guidance. Chris also performed the duties of Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Chemical and Biological Defense, overseeing a multi-billion-dollar program. Before joining the Department of Defense, Chris served in the US Army, where they held the position of Brigade Commander, leading a geographically dispersed unit. Chris also served as the Protection Chief and held various command and staff positions throughout their military career. Chris is experienced in building and sustaining teams, leading personnel, and advising international security partners.

Chris Hoffman has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University, which they completed in 1994. In 2005, they obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Public Administration from John Jay College (CUNY). Later, in 2016, Chris earned a Master's degree in Military Strategic Studies, General from The United States Army War College. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including "Project Management Foundations", "Agile Foundations", and "Scrum: Advanced" from LinkedIn, with the most recent certification obtained in July 2022.
