Cindy Munoz, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Cindy currently works as a Technical Project Manager at Aktiv Pharma Group since 2021. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus from 2020 to 2021.
From 2008 to 2020, Cindy had multiple roles at the University of Colorado Denver. Cindy served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in 2019, where they studied genetic mutations in fungal cells and developed an experimental method to measure biophysical properties. As a Course Instructor from 2016 to 2018, they taught Mechanical Engineering courses, developed lectures, conducted student evaluations, and ensured curriculum integrity. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant, studying and reporting on the rheological properties of fungal cell walls. Cindy also served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant from 2008 to 2010.
In 2019, Cindy worked at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus as an Instructor and Research Mentor in the CU Pre-Health Scholars Program from February to July.

Cindy began their academic journey in 2006, earning a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, which they completed in 2010. Building upon their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2011 to 2014. Continuing their academic pursuits, Cindy took a step further and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Engineering and Applied Science, completing their doctoral studies from 2014 to 2018.
