Richard Sloan

Richard Sloan is an experienced professional in the coatings industry, currently serving as the Regional Solutions Lab Manager for INTERNATIONAL PAINT LIMITED (AKZO NOBEL) since May 2018, where responsibilities include new product development, product support, and factory technical support for the Marine and Protective Coatings business in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Previously, Richard held various roles at International Paint Marine since October 1989, including Regional Solutions Manager, Global Technical Support Manager for Marine Coatings, Technical Manager in Shanghai managing Marine R&D, and Project Leader for Marine Newbuilding initiatives focused on anticorrosive and chemical resistant coatings. Richard began a career in the coatings field as a Senior Development Technologist, contributing to diverse projects within Marine and Yacht Coatings R&D. Richard holds a BSc Hons in Applied Chemistry from Northumbria University, completed in 1997.
