Iyad Malas

Iyad Malas currently serves as the Group Chief Executive Officer of Al Ghurair Group, a position held since August 2020. Prior to this, Iyad Malas was an Independent Advisor and Board Member for a brief period in 2020 and worked as a Partner at Gateway Partners from June 2015 to March 2020. Previous roles include Chief Executive Officer for Majid Al Futtaim Holding and Majid Al Futtaim Trust (April 2007 - February 2015), Regional Director for South Asia at the International Finance Corporation (July 2004 - May 2007), Chief Operating Officer and Head of Asset Management at EFG Hermes (January 2002 - July 2004), Chief Executive Officer at Fleming CIIC (March 2000 - December 2001), and Regional Financial Markets Manager at the International Finance Corporation (May 1987 - February 2000). Iyad Malas holds a CFA from the CFA Institute, an MBA in Finance from The George Washington University School of Business, and a Bachelor's degree in Business with a Minor in Economics from the American University of Beirut.
