Kuttappa I.P. has a strong background in engineering and maintenance. Kuttappa started their career as an Apprentice Trainee at Bharat Fritz Werner Ltd. and later worked as an Asst. Operations Manager - Engineering Services at Mahindra Guestline Hospitality & Management Services. Kuttappa then joined Saudi Oberoi Co. Ltd. as the Head of Engineering Department, where they were responsible for the operation and maintenance of various equipment and facilities. After that, they worked as the Group Chief Engineer at SOUTHERN FRANCHISE COMPANY, overseeing projects, renovations, and maintenance activities for the group. Currently, they are the Director of Engineering at Habtoor Hospitality. In this role, they efficiently manage engineering projects, renovations, and contractors for Habtoor Hotels, including the prestigious Metropolitan Palace and Metropolitan Deira Hotel.

Kuttappa I.P. pursued their education at various institutions. From 2019 to 2021, they attended Amity University, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration degree in Hospitality Management. Prior to that, between 1986 and 1991, Kuttappa studied at Karnatak University, acquiring an Engineer's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
