Hazem Al Charaa has a diverse work experience in the beverage industry, primarily in management roles. Hazem started their career as an Area Sales Manager at Joud Company in 2000. Hazem then joined PepsiCo in 2001 as a Regional Sales Manager for the Southern Region in Syria. From 2008 to 2012, they served as Sales and Capability Director for Joud Company, leading the implementation of sales tools and providing training to sales units. Hazem returned to PepsiCo in 2012 as Sales & Marketing Director for AlHayat Co, responsible for developing sales strategies and policies. In 2014, they joined FATTAL Group as Business Director in Iraq, where they focused on coaching and motivating their team, conducting regular meetings, setting objectives, and controlling operating costs. Hazem then worked as the General Manager at Bait Al Emarat in Iraq from 2017 to 2018. In 2018, they returned to PepsiCo as the General Executive Director for Sales, Capability, and MEM in Iraq. Most recently, Hazem Al Charaa was appointed as General Manager and Group Deputy CEO of Al Hayat - Pepsi in 2022.
Hazem Al Charaa has an extensive education history. Hazem completed their Bachelor's Degree in International Law and Legal Studies from Damascus University between 1994 and 1999. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in the Faculty of Law at the EAIU from 2011 to 2013. In addition, they obtained a PhD in Legal and Economic Sciences from the Egyptian American International University from 2011 to 2015. Furthermore, Hazem Al Charaa also attended Bar Association to become a Lawyer in 2002.

Al Hayat Company- PEPSI has enjoyed steady growth and currently represents more than 55% of the total market share of its respective sector, Carrying out production over 167, 000 square meters, Al Hayat is a local industry leader, accounting for 40% for the total soft drink industry. Al Hayat Company-PEPSI was supervised by international consulting agencies during the buildup and launch phases of its operations in 2004, so as to guarantee the facility’s adherence to the strict international standards of quality. The factory floor plan was designed to maximize performance and efficiency in bottling processes, and to accommodate various cost-cutting measures to boost productivity and profitability. In addition to the excellence of its factory operations, Al Hayat Company-PEPSI owns and operates one of the largest fleets of distribution vehicles in the region, ensuring the timely delivery of its products to guarantee its continued success. Al Hayat Pepsi has 20 locations All over Kurdistan and Kirkuk.
