Zakir Smailagic

Zakir Smailagic is an experienced talent management professional with a comprehensive background in human resources, leadership training, and organizational development. Currently serving as a Talent Manager at Al Jazeera Media Network since May 2012, Zakir designs and delivers leadership and management development programs, while managing scholarship, sponsorship, internship, and fellowship initiatives. Previous roles include HR Director for Al Jazeera Turk & Al Jazeera Balkans, where senior managerial recruitment and training were priorities, and Executive Director at AUBiH, overseeing operations in the Sarajevo region. Zakir's earlier experience includes serving as HR Head Office Manager at ASA Holding and managing Intel University at Intel Labs, where strategic alignment and cross-functional project management were key responsibilities. Zakir holds a CIPD HRM Master's degree in Human Resources Management from Sheffield Hallam University.
