Islam Belal Abd ElGaber has a strong background in structural engineering. Islam started their career in 2012 as a junior structural civil engineer at focus engineering services, where they worked until 2014. In 2014, they moved on to Aspen Engineering, where they served as a junior structural engineer for a year. In 2018, they joined Al- Marasem International For Development JV Saudi Binladin Group as a Technical Office Team Leader Structural Engineer, a role they held for five years until 2023. Islam is currently working as a Technical Office Section Head structural engineer at Al Marasem Group.

Islam Belal Abd ElGaber completed their bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Helwan University Cairo between the years 2007 and 2012. Following this, they enrolled in the Professional Programmes at The American University in Cairo from 2015 to 2016, focusing on Project Management.
