Erika Pinheiro

Erika Pinheiro serves as the Executive Director at Al Otro Lado since April 2017, following a tenure as Director of Litigation and Policy. Previous experience includes a role as California Fellow at New America from February 2017 to February 2018, and Managing Attorney at the Central American Resource Center - Los Angeles from January 2015 to April 2017. Additionally, Erika worked at Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project from September 2010 to January 2015, holding positions as Director of Community Education Programs, Lead Attorney, and Attorney Fellow. Erika Pinheiro holds a Doctor of Law (JD) and a Master's degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University Law Center and Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy respectively, along with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Latin American Studies from Wellesley College.
