Nick O'Connell

Nick O'Connell is an experienced legal professional currently serving as a Partner in the Tech, Comms, and Data sectors at Bird & Bird since October 2024. O'Connell has extensive experience at Al Tamimi & Company, where tenure includes roles as Partner and Head of Technology, Media & Telecommunications in Saudi Arabia, as well as Partner and Head of Digital & Data in Saudi Arabia, starting from July 2009. Prior to this, O'Connell worked as a Senior Associate at Lovells in Tokyo from July 2007 to July 2009 and as an Associate at Al Tamimi & Company from January 2006 to July 2007. Early career experience includes a Solicitor role at A J Park in Wellington from October 2001 to January 2006. An alumnus of the University of Otago, O'Connell earned a BA and LLB from 1992 to 1997.
