Safwan Qasem

Safwan Qasem, PhD, PMP, serves as the Director of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation and Chair of the Computer Engineering Department at Al Yamamah University since September 2019, also acting as the head of the Qualitative Department of the College of Business Administration. A commissioner and team chair for ABET since June 2013, Safwan Qasem contributes to ensuring high quality in computing education through the establishment of accreditation criteria and program evaluations. Previous experience includes leadership roles at King Saud University, where contributions were made to institutional accreditation and quality management systems, as well as engineering positions at Texas Instruments, Capgemini, opt[e]way, and Gentech. Safwan Qasem holds a PhD in Computer Science from Université Grenoble Alpes and a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
