Ebony Horton

Director Of Communications And Marketing at Alabama Community College System

Ebony Horton has a diverse and extensive work experience history. Ebony started their career as a Reporter at The Gadsden Times and later worked at The Tuscaloosa News. Ebony then moved to Randall-Reilly where they had a short-term role at Equipment World Magazine. Ebony joined Dothan Eagle as an Ozark/Dale County Bureau Reporter before transitioning to become a Business Reporter. After that, they worked as a Communications Assistant at Northview Christian Church. Ebony also worked at Enterprise State Community College as a Student Support Services Secretary and later as an Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Students. Ebony then joined Editing Ease as an Editor and Proofreader. Currently, Ebony is serving as the Director of Communications and Marketing at Alabama Community College System since 2019.

Ebony Horton obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Stillman College during the period of 2002 to 2005. Following this, from 2012 to 2013, they attended the University of Houston-Victoria and completed a Master of Science degree in Publishing with a focus on Prepress/Desktop Publishing and Digital Imaging Design. More recently, in 2018 and 2019, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Strategic Communication from Troy University. In addition to their formal education, Ebony Horton also obtained a certification in Fundamentals of Social Media from Muck Rack in June 2020.
