Alabama Cooperative Extension System
Sonja Thomas, Ph.D., is an Extension Specialist for Pesticide Safety Education and Home Grounds Team Coordinator at the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, a position held since July 2012, where responsibilities include developing and managing pesticide applicator training programs for the state. Prior to this role, Sonja served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Georgia from January 2007 to 2011, contributing to the Household and Structural Entomology Research Lab and developing an IPM plan for the Chattahoochee River National Recreational Area.
