Lita Chatham

Lita Chatham, MS, RDN, LD, currently serves as the Assistant Director of the Nutrition & Physical Activity Division at the Alabama Department of Public Health, a position held since February 2016. With a strong background in nutrition, Lita has progressed through various roles within the Alabama Department of Public Health, starting as a Nutritionist Associate in the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program, and later serving as a Senior Nutritionist. Prior experience includes a role as a Nutritionist in the Child Nutrition Program at the Alabama Department of Education and a Graduate Assistant at The University of Southern Mississippi. Lita Chatham obtained a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Food Systems from The University of Southern Mississippi and a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences/Dietetics from the University of Montevallo.
