Alabama Farm Credit makes loans to purchase or improve farms, timberland, recreational property, agribusiness operations and rural homes. We also make agricultural operating loans to cover the day-to-day expenses of running a farm, producing a crop and managing a livestock herd. We understand the unique aspects of agricultural and rural real estate financing, and we take a personal interest in each of our customers in an effort to meet their financing needs. As a financial cooperative, we are governed by a local board of directors and owned by borrowers. We also strive to return earnings to our customers through our dividend programs called Patronage.
