Melissa Warnke has a diverse work experience starting as a Producer intern in January 2008 at WSFA 12 News before being hired as a Reporter/Anchor and later becoming a Producer. At WSFA 12 News, they anchored the News at Noon, reported for the morning show, and also handled writing, editing, and posting on social media platforms. Melissa then served as the Manager of Communication and Engagement for the Alabama Retail Association from August 2015 to July 2019. In this role, they engaged members, media, and the public on retail matters, coordinated media relations, and generated opportunities for media coverage. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Communications at the Alabama State Bar starting from August 2019.
Melissa Warnke obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Auburn University. Melissa successfully completed their education at Auburn University from 2005 to 2009.

The Alabama State Bar (ASB) is the official statewide organization of lawyers in Alabama. Since 1923, when the Alabama State Bar was created by an act of the legislature, ASB programs and activities have continuously served the public and improved the justice system. The Alabama State Bar is dedicated to promoting the professional responsibility and competence of its members, improving the administration of justice and increasing the public understanding of and respect for the law.
