Andrea H.

Andrea H. currently serves as an Education Specialist at the Alabama State Department of Education, where responsibilities include acting as the liaison for Alabama’s 25 Educator Preparation Providers (EPPs) and ensuring compliance with the Educator Preparation Chapter of the Alabama Administrative Code. Prior to this role, Andrea H. held the position of Director of Secondary Schools at Alexander City Schools, leading curriculum, instruction, and assessment initiatives. Previous experience includes serving as an Assistant Principal and Science Instructor at Shelby County Board of Education, as well as teaching science at Fairfield High Preparatory School and Clay-Chalkville High School. Andrea H. holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Samford University and multiple degrees in educational leadership and secondary education from Samford University, the University of Montevallo, and Tuskegee University.
