Jason Swann

Jason Swann currently serves as General Counsel for the Alabama State Department of Education, a position held since May 2018, where responsibilities include advising and representing the State Superintendent and the State Board of Education on legal matters. Prior to this role, Jason Swann was General Counsel for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency from May 2013 to May 2018, managing the Legal Division and advising the Secretary of Law Enforcement. Jason also held the position of General Counsel at the State of Alabama Office of Prosecution Services from May 2003 to May 2013, focusing on legislative analysis and advocacy related to crime and funding bills. Jason Swann holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology from East Tennessee State University, a Juris Doctor from Faulkner University Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, and a Certificate in International Law from Trinity College Dublin.
