Project Engineer, Quality at Alabama Technology Network

Heath McNaughton is the Project Engineer- Quality Systems/Quality Engineering at Alabama Technology Network (ATN), where he works to develop and implement technical assistance and training projects for business and industry.

Heath has over 20 years of experience in Quality Management and Training. He has also been named a NextFlex Fellow by America’s flexible hybrid electronics manufacturing innovation institute, NextFlex. This achievement was made possible by his skills in quality, innovation, project management, and training.

Prior to joining ATN, Heath was a Business Analyst for Advanced Systems Design and led quality and process improvement efforts for a large project involving modernization of the Alabama Medicaid Management Information System. Heath is also a retired Alabama Air National Guard Lt. Col and spent over 20 years working full-time with the Alabama National Guard. Nearly half of that time was spent as the Joint Process Improvement Officer. While there, he trained civilians, Soldiers, and Airmen in Lean Six Sigma and worked on projects to reduce costs, improve quality and increase the speed of delivery. Heath achieved this through his knowledge of process improvement, project management, and effective communication. Heath also has experience as a Quality Manager in the poultry industry.

A graduate from Faulkner University, Heath holds a degree in Biology.
