Jeffrey Palmer is a Project Engineer located at the Montgomery Office, where he works to Provide Training and Technical Support in the area of Lean Manufacturing as well as Industrial Maintenance.
In 11 years with ATN and among various projects, Jeff has been providing valuable apprenticeship training for a large Stainless-Steel manufacturer. This program – approved and supported by the US Department of Labor, involves providing mechanical training for selected Operations Team Members as they transition into Industrial Maintenance roles.
Prior to joining ATN, Jeff has 10 years’ experience as a Manufacturing Engineer with various companies, with his most recent experience as the Maintenance Manager for Halla Climate Systems Alabama where he was responsible for equipment and facilities management for the total facility. While there, he improved equipment availability by 20% through the identification and procurement of critical spare parts and improving manning within the Maintenance Department. Prior to his experience in manufacturing in the private sector, Jeff retired after 20 years with the US Air Force where he served as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician and a Civil Engineering Officer.
A graduate from the University of Illinois, Jeff holds a BS and MS in Industrial Engineering. When not at work, Jeff enjoys competitive shooting.
