Lucie Lee has a diverse work experience in the field of biosciences. Lucie is currently working as a Senior Scientist at Alamar Biosciences, Inc. since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Paragon Genomics from March 2017 to March 2022, where they held the positions of Staff Scientist and Scientist - Molecular Biology. Lucie also worked at Theranos as a Scientist in the Chemistry Assay Development Group from May 2012 to January 2017. Before joining Theranos, they were a Graduate Student Researcher at the Weiss lab, University of California, Irvine, from 2005 to 2011, where their research focused on inhibiting the HIV-1 Vif-APOBEC interaction. Lucie also served as a Teaching Assistant at UC Irvine from 2005 to 2010. Lucie's earlier research experience includes working as an Undergraduate Student Researcher in the Tirrell lab, Caltech, from 2003 to 2005, where they expressed proteins incorporated with non-natural amino acid analogues and synthesized compounds for microarray construction. Additionally, they gained industry experience as a Summer Intern in the Burri lab, University of California, Davis, in 2000. Lucie's expertise lies in assay development, molecular biology, and HIV research.

Lucie Lee obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Caltech between the years 2001 and 2005. Lucie then pursued further education at UC Irvine, where they completed their Doctorate of Philosophy in Chemistry/Chemical Biology between 2005 and 2011.
