Steve Chen

Steve Chen has a diverse work experience in the biosciences industry. Steve is currently the Founder and COO of Alamar Biosciences, Inc since August 2018. Prior to this, from August 2016 to August 2018, they served as the COO of the ACD division at Bio-Techne. Steve was also the Founder and COO of Advanced Cell Diagnostics from June 2008 to July 2016. Steve has previously held the role of Director of Engineering at Power Automation Systems from 2006 to 2008. Additionally, Steve has been involved in founding and serving as the CTO of Panomics from 2001 to 2005. Steve started their career as an Assistant Professor - Tenure Track at the University of Maryland from 1997 to 2000 and worked as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer at London South Bank University from 1994 to 1997.

Steve Chen pursued their education starting from 1980 to 1985, when they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Precision Instrumentation Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China. From 1985 to 1987, they attended Zhejiang University, where they pursued an MSc Program in Optical Engineering. Later, they joined the University of London from 1987 to 1991, earning a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
