Shamia Sandles

Shamia Sandles has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Shamia began their career as a Program Leader at Richmond Village Beacon in 2007 and worked there until 2009. Shamia then became a Site Manager at the Richmond District After School Collaborative from 2009 to 2011. After that, they joined Project EAT as a Youth Development Specialist, where they worked from 2011 to 2020. Currently, they are a Project Director at the Alameda County Office of Education, starting in 2020. Additionally, Shamia was a student at San Francisco State University from 2007 to 2010.

Shamia Sandles completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Anthropology at Hamline University from 2003 to 2007. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Visual Anthropology at San Francisco State University from 2007 to 2010.
