Catherine Toyooka

Catherine Toyooka is a seasoned professional in public health and sexual education, currently serving as the Director for the Chronic Hepatitis Program at Alameda County since September 2020. Previous roles include Senior Program Specialist and Public Health Investigator within the same program, and Health Educator at 3rd Street Youth Center & Clinic. Catherine's expertise in HIV services was showcased as the HIV Services Manager at the Drug Abuse Foundation in Palm Beach County, where responsibilities included managing deliverables and updating educational curriculum. With extensive experience as an Off-Site Sex Educator and founder of Catherine Coaches, Catherine has facilitated workshops across various esteemed institutions and provided coaching to executives in the technology sector. Catherine also served as Program Director at BAY Positives, a pioneering non-profit for HIV positive youth, and brought innovative outreach methods to public health initiatives. An alumna of Scripps College with a B.A. in Sociology, Catherine embodies a commitment to addressing sexual health and education within diverse communities.
