Michael Shaw

Michael Shaw has extensive experience in public health, particularly in addressing health inequities for underserved men and boys. Since July 2007, Michael has served as the Director of the Office of Urban Male Health at Alameda County, focusing on developing public-private partnerships to enhance healthcare access and improve outcomes. Previous roles include Principal at Shaw Consulting Services, where Michael provided technical assistance to bridge community services with governmental assets, and the HIV/AIDS Community Coordinator at the Alameda County Public Health Department, ensuring effective communication and compliance with grant provisions. Michael's career also includes directing the Education and Prevention Unit for HIV/AIDS at the Alameda County Public Health Department, overseeing a substantial budget and fostering collaborations with community agencies. Michael holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Behavioral Psychology from Western Michigan University.
