Christian Rieta

Christian Rieta has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Christian started their career in 2009 at Washington Hospital Healthcare System, where they worked as a Staff RN, focusing on medical and surgical care. During this time, they obtained certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and attended the 2011 Magnet Conference to enhance their knowledge on improving patient outcomes. Christian also took on various leadership roles within the organization, such as Relief Bed Control Manager, Charge RN, Nursing Preceptor, and Hospital Wide EPIC EHR System Super user.

In 2016, Christian joined Washington Township Medical Foundation as the Director of Quality & Compliance. In this role, they oversaw the organization's quality and compliance program, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and company conduct guidelines.

After three years, Christian moved on to Kaiser Permanente in 2019, where they served as the Director of Quality Services. Christian was responsible for implementing quality programs and activities across hospitals, ambulatory sites, and other non-KFH facilities. Christian developed collaborative relationships with regulatory agencies, accreditation bodies, and employer groups.

In the same year, Christian also worked at Alameda Health System as a Senior Clinical Quality Manager. Christian led large-scale performance improvement initiatives and played a crucial role in integrating clinical approaches for quality and safety across the system. Christian later became the System Director of Quality & Outcomes in 2021, further advancing the organization's mission of providing patient-centered care and achieving excellence in quality outcomes.

Christian Rieta obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from San Jose State University between 2002 and 2008. They then pursued a Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration from California State University - East Bay from 2014 to 2016. In addition to their education, Christian Rieta also obtained the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality® (CPHQ) certification from the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) in January 2021.
