Jesse Genosick

Lead Application Analyst, LIS at Alameda Health System

Jesse Genosick has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Jesse started their career as a Lab Clerk/Pathology Aide at Doctors Medical Center - San Pablo, where they were responsible for various laboratory operations. Jesse then became a Laboratory Clerk and later a Laboratory Assistant, focusing on specimen collection, processing, and inventory management. Jesse also worked as a Laboratory Information System Analyst at the same facility, where they successfully tested and validated two full version upgrades of the LIS.

With Innovative Consulting Group, Jesse worked as a Senior Consultant, collaborating with the laboratory management team to improve LIS deficiencies and building interfaces for new instrumentation. Jesse also developed autoverification algorithms for specific testing.

At Alameda Health System, Jesse held the position of LIS Analyst and Lead Application Analyst, LIS. In these roles, they oversaw the implementation of the Epic Beaker system, including procedure, test, and result component build. Jesse also managed Beaker charging and led Mapped Record Testing. Additionally, Jesse built and validated LIS interfaces for various laboratory analyzers and blood gas analyzers.

Prior to their healthcare industry experience, Jesse worked as a Care Giver for In Home Supportive Services, where they provided assistance to a patient with ESRD in managing day-to-day living needs and coordinating medical appointments.

Throughout their work experience, Jesse has demonstrated strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Jesse Genosick obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Biology from the University of California, Berkeley from 2005 to 2009. Later, from 2015 to 2017, Jesse pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Health/Health Care Administration/Management at the University of Phoenix. In terms of additional certifications, Jesse earned a Technologist in Chemistry (ASCP-C) certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) in November 2020. In 2019, Jesse completed Rule Build Training from Data Innovations LLC and received certifications in SafeTrace Tx Functions and SafeTrace Tx Table Build from Haemonetics. In 2018, Jesse obtained certifications in Epic Anatomical Pathology and Epic Clinical Pathology from Epic. Additionally, Jesse acquired certifications in Data Innovations Functions and Rules from Abbott in October 2015 and became a Certified Phlebotomy Technician through the California Department of Public Health in July 2006.
