Mabelle Joy Viera

Mabelle Joy Viera has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Mabelle Joy began their career in 1984 as a Product Specialist & Sales Manager at Janssen, Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson and Johnson, where they worked for 18 years.

In 2003, they transitioned to a role as a Dialysis Nurse at San Pedro Hospital before becoming a BS in Nursing Instructor at San Pedro College in 2005. Mabelle Joy then worked as a Regular Full-Time Instructor at Carrington College from 2012 to 2013.

From 2013 to 2014, Mabelle served as a Didactic & Clinical Instructor at Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts. Mabelle Joy later joined the American College of Nursing as an Instructor from 2009 to 2015.

Starting in 2014, they worked at Gurnick Academy – Concord Campus, initially as a Clinical Coordinator and later as the Assistant Program Director. In this role, they managed the Psychiatric Technician Program and reported to both the Chief Academic Officer and the Campus Director. Mabelle Joy'stenure at Gurnick Academy lasted until 2019.

In 2019, they took on a new role as the Director of Staff Development at both Fairmont Hospital SNF and Alameda Health System. Mabelle Joy continues to hold this position.
