Mark Piton has a diverse work experience in the field of database administration, development, and programming. Mark started their career as a Web Developer/Programmer at Crystal Canyon Interactive in 1995, where they evaluated business requirements, developed application solutions, and provided maintenance and support for existing systems. From 1999 to 2000, Mark worked as a Programmer/Analyst at Accela, Inc, leveraging best practices for system analysis and software deployment. At Quad-Knopf Engineering from 2003 to 2004, they developed a GIS solution and provided implementation support for customers. Mark then joined Visalia Unified School District as a Senior Programmer from 2004 to 2007, where they implemented and managed software development projects and conducted research for technology solutions. Mark returned to Visalia Unified School District in 2007 as a Consultant, specializing in GIS/.Net application design and development, database administration, and training. Mark'snext role was at Kaweah Delta Medical Center from 2007 to 2016 as a Senior Database Administrator. There, they gained extensive experience in installing, designing, supporting, and maintaining various database environments and performed tasks such as performance tuning, troubleshooting, and data security. Currently, Mark is working as a Senior Database Administrator/Developer at Alameda Health System, a position they have held since 2017.
Mark Piton attended California State University, Fresno from 2000 to 2002. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science.
