Veronica Perez-Arana has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Veronica started their career as a New RN Residency Program Assistant at California State University, East Bay in 2011. During this time, they also worked as an RN Skills Lab Assistant at CSUEB Nursing Skills Lab, where they assisted in setting up and instructing students on nursing skills.
In 2012, Veronica joined San Mateo Medical Center as a Registered Nurse Resident for a few months before moving on to Tri-City Health Center, where they worked as a Triage Nurse Intern. Veronica then joined Breast Cancer Connections as a Program Navigator before transitioning to Lyon Martin Health Services as a Clinic Nurse/Complex Care Management. In this role, they provided direct RN-level clinical care, assisted in assessment and triage, and collaborated in the planning and delivery of treatment for higher acuity patients.
In 2016, Veronica joined San Francisco Department of Public Health as a Complex Care Management Registered Nurse, where they continued to provide care management services for patients. Currently, they are working at Alameda Health System as a Complex Care Manager RN.
Throughout their career, Veronica has demonstrated a commitment to providing high-quality patient care, maintaining professional competence, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Veronica Perez-Arana obtained their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from California State University - East Bay, where they studied from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they attended San Francisco State University from 1994 to 2000, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Change Through Arts & Drama. In addition to their academic achievements, Veronica also holds certifications in EKG from AHA, and Basic Life Support and First Aid from the American Heart Association.
