Jorge Wahner

Jorge Wahner, MA, is an experienced educational leader specializing in special education. Currently serving as the Elementary Special Education Coordinator for Alameda Unified School District since July 2023, Jorge previously held various leadership roles including Director of Special Education for Oakland Unified School District and Principal of REALM Charter High School. As a College Instructor at Berkeley City College, Jorge teaches education courses and participates in dual enrollment initiatives. With a career spanning over a decade in diverse educational environments, Jorge has a strong background in managing special education programs, developing curriculum, and ensuring compliance with educational regulations. Jorge holds a Master's degree in Education from Sonoma State University and a Bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University.
