Jacob Ulczynski, LPC, NCC has a diverse work experience in the field of human services and agency coordination. Jacob has held various roles, including Senior Director of Human Services & Agency Coordination at Alamo Area Council of Governments since January 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Director of IDD Services & Agency Coordination from August 2019 to January 2023, and as the Director and Assistant Director of IDD Services from 2018 to 2019. Jacob has also worked in different managerial positions at Alamo Area Council of Governments, focusing on IDD operations, quality assurance, enrollment, and eligibility. Additionally, they gained experience as a Counselor Intern at Rejoice Family Apostolate, Inc. from 2013 to 2017, and as a Student Intern at Solara Behavioral Health in 2011. Earlier in their career, Jacob served as a Case Manager at The Center for Health Care Services from 2007 to 2010 and as a Qualified Mental Health Professional at Texana Center from 2006 to 2007. Jacob also worked as a Peer Counselor and QEP Researcher at Texas A&M University from 2004 to 2006. Jacob has also presented at the Bi-Regional NAFSA: Association of International Educators Conference in 2005.

Jacob Ulczynski, LPC, NCC completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Texas A&M University from 2001 to 2006. Jacob then pursued a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling at Capella University from 2008 to 2012.

After completing their education, Jacob obtained several certifications to further enhance their professional qualifications. In February 2013, they became a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern under the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. This was followed by obtaining their National Certified Counselor credential from the National Board for Certified Counselors in June 2012.

Jacob continued to expand their expertise and in April 2016, they received their certification as a Certified HIPAA Professional. Finally, in February 2018, they obtained their final certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor through the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors.
