Alamogordo Public Schools
Mikayla Tingwald is an experienced educator with a strong background in both elementary and special education. Currently serving as an Elementary School Teacher at Alamogordo Public Schools since August 2022, Mikayla focuses on teaching health to grades K-2, covering topics such as character, community, hygiene, and the human body. Previous roles include Special Education Teacher at Laramie County School District #1 from August 2016 to June 2022, and a similar position at Grand Forks Public Schools from September 2015 to June 2016. Mikayla began their educational career as an Instructional Para at Ben Franklin Elementary School. In addition to educational roles, Mikayla gained managerial experience in retail with positions at American Eagle and Aeropostale. Mikayla holds a Master's degree in Special Education and Teaching and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from The University of North Dakota.
