Jean-Charles Samuelian

Jean-Charles Samuelian is the Co-Founder & CEO of Alan, the leading independent digital health insurance provider in France unlocking frictionless, fair & friendly healthcare for everyone.

Alan aims to deliver better outcomes for all and contribute to better functioning healthcare systems by fundamentally rethinking how people access care, through a more human-centric, preventative, digital and transparent model.

Alan covers more than 5000 companies and more than 77k members in France. The company has raised €125m from Temasek and Index since its creation in 2016.

Prior to Alan, Jean-Charles co-founded Expliseat, which has revolutionised aircraft seating for economy class.

He holds a MSc in Engineering from Ecole des Ponts Paristech, a MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs and is a member of the French Institute of Actuaries.
