Felicia Körner

Felicia Körner has a diverse range of work experience in various roles. Felicia is currently working as a Research Engineer at Alana. Prior to this, they worked at Rasa as an ML Researcher, where they designed and performed experiments to evaluate conversational AI models, led a team on an internal project, and made contributions to an open-source AI framework.

Felicia also has experience as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Center for Language and Speech Processing, Johns Hopkins University, where they explored techniques for filtering noisy parallel corpora for machine translation, focusing on low-resource languages. Felicia also worked as an Assistant Web Developer at the Institute for Data Intensive Engineering and Science, where they redesigned a website and improved its functionality using Bootstrap and Javascript tools.

Before this, Felicia worked at FAST 3D as a Full Stack Engineer, where they autonomously designed and deployed a GDPR compliant website and developed a RESTful API. Felicia also introduced version control practices for developers. Additionally, they worked at The Johns Hopkins University as a Course Assistant for Computer Systems Fundamentals.

Felicia gained research experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Center for Language and Speech Processing, where they explored techniques for filtering noisy parallel corpora for machine translation with high-resource languages. Felicia also worked as an Engineering Intern at Big Huge Games, where they restructured server-side logging and worked on server-side security. Additionally, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Hopkins Extreme Materials Institute at Johns Hopkins University.

Felicia Körner completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at The Johns Hopkins University from 2015 to 2018. Afterwards, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at the same institution from 2019 to 2020.
