Xiaoyu Fu has a diverse work experience, beginning with a Research Analyst role at Haitong Securities in 2015. In 2020, they became a Research Assistant at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, where they collected and cleaned distressed district and earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) data, conducted data cleaning and validation, implemented time series models using Stata/R, and reviewed and reported academic literature. In 2022, they became a Corporate Finance Analyst at Alariss Global, where they generated business and financial analysis on revenue and capital expenditure, prepared financial models and deal analysis, and built out financial profiles for products. Xiaoyu also became a Consultant at The World Bank in 2022, where they collected, cleaned, and harmonized firm-level corporate data of all China A-share listed firms, and quantified the impact of economic shocks and financial/fiscal policies during the Global Financial Crisis and Covid-19 pandemic.

Xiaoyu Fu is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics at Rutgers University–New Brunswick. Prior to this, they earned a Master's degree in Political Economy from Fudan University and a Bachelor's degree in E-Commerce/Electronic Commerce from Shanghai Finance University.
