Diana Birkett Rakow

SVP, Public Affairs & Sustainability at Alaska Air Group

Diana Birkett Rakow is currently the SVP of Public Affairs and Sustainability at Alaska Air Group. Diana has previously held positions as the Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, the Vice President of Public Affairs, Communications, and Brand Management at Kaiser Permanente, and various other positions at Alaska Airlines and the Alaska Airlines Foundation.

Rakow has a long history of community involvement and leadership. At the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, they focused on CEO transition and search, public health and economic crisis and recovery with a focus on racial equity and rebuilding an inclusive economy. As Vice President of Public Affairs, Communications, and Brand Management at Kaiser Permanente, they were responsible for launching the Kaiser Permanente brand internally and externally in the Washington market while honoring and transitioning from Group Health’s legacy. Diana also led the expansion of community philanthropy team and strategy and integration with the new national company context.

Rakow is a passionate advocate for social justice and equity. Diana is committed to building inclusive economies and communities that work for everyone.

Diana Birkett Rakow has a BA in Chemistry from Harvard University and a Chief Marketing Officers Program from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. Diana also has an MPH in Health Policy, Public Administration & Public Health Nutrition from the University of Washington.
