John Spence

John Spence is a seasoned professional in network and network security engineering, currently serving as the Senior Manager at Alaska Airlines since July 2015. In this role, John leads the network engineering team, transforming business requirements and enterprise-level architectures into comprehensive network and security solutions. Prior to Alaska Airlines, John held positions at Amazon AWS, where significant contributions included leading the CloudFront network deployment team and managing pivotal upgrades to the CDN network. John's extensive experience includes roles as VP of IP Services at Nephos6, Senior Director at Command Information / Salient Federal, and various technical positions at Native6, Washington Mutual, Zama Networks, Frank Russell Company, IBM, and TRW. John holds an MS in Computer Engineering from Loyola Marymount University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.
