Bryce Akagi

Bryce Akagi has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on finance and analytics. Bryce served as Vice President Finance at Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) since July 2022, where they played a crucial role in strategic financial planning and decision support, as well as driving financial performance and accountability in partnership with operations. Prior to this, Bryce was the Assistant Chief Financial Officer at ANTHC from December 2018 to July 2022.

Before joining ANTHC, Bryce held various positions at Intermountain Healthcare from 2006 to 2018. Bryce was the Finance Director, Benchmarking & Labor Productivity from January 2017 to December 2018, leading system-wide benchmarking and labor productivity efforts. Bryce also served as the Population Health Initiatives Director from January 2016 to January 2017, providing expertise in population health strategy, analytics, and decision support. Additionally, Bryce worked as the Manager of Analytics, Healthcare Transformation from December 2009 to January 2016, and as a Financial Analyst from January 2006 to December 2009.

Bryce also has teaching experience, having worked as an Adjunct Faculty at Wasatch E-Learning from 2005 to 2008 and at SLTATC from March 2005 to December 2005. Bryce served as a Quality Assurance Tester at Silverlode Interactive from August 2007 to February 2008. Prior to their healthcare career, Bryce worked as an Instructor/Tutor at Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions from July 2003 to December 2005.

Bryce Akagi obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and Management from the University of Utah, where they attended from 2001 to 2005. Bryce then pursued a Masters of Science degree in Finance from the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business, which they completed in the year 2009. In addition to their formal education, Bryce also obtained several certifications through Coursera in various subjects such as rationing and allocating scarce medical resources, nutrition for health promotion and disease prevention, introduction to operations management, gamification, and health policy and the Affordable Care Act. These certifications were achieved between 2012 and 2013.
