Eric Rubeo has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Eric started their career as a Fiction & Poetry Editor for Happy Captive Magazine, where they developed acceptance criteria, led reading meetings, edited accepted submissions, and trained future editors. Eric then worked as a Writing Consultant at the Howe Center for Writing Excellence, providing one-on-one consultations to undergraduate and graduate students on various writing assignments. Eric also gained experience as an Editorial Intern at Miami University Press, managing submissions for the Novella Prize and assisting in the editorial process.

Moving forward, Eric had an internship as a Technical Writer at Everbridge, where they collaborated with engineers to author and update customer-facing documentation for an international SaaS company. Eric also worked as an Assistant Fiction Editor at Washington Square Review, copy editing fiction pieces and selecting submissions for publication.

In the field of education, Eric served as an ELA Teacher at the Lower Kuskokwim School District, teaching high school English/Language Arts and taking on additional responsibilities such as leading team meetings, delivering professional development, and managing administrative tasks. Prior to that, they were a Student Intern at Talawanda High School, co-teaching English/Language Arts to high school freshmen and juniors.

More recently, Eric worked at New York University, first as a Veteran Writing Workshop Fellow, designing creative writing curriculum and managing program communications. Eric then became an Adjunct Professor of English, teaching an introduction to prose and poetry course and overseeing student progress.

Currently, Eric is working as a Technical Writer at Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, where they utilize their skills to contribute to the organization's technical writing needs.

Eric Rubeo's education history is as follows:

From 2021 to 2023, Eric attended New York University, where they pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Creative Writing.

Prior to that, between 2012 and 2017, Eric studied at Miami University, where they earned a Bachelor's degree. Eric'sdegree program at Miami University encompassed Integrated English/Language Arts Education, English Literature, and Creative Writing.

In addition to their formal education, Eric has also obtained several certifications. In May 2023, they completed a course on "Writing with Proper Punctuation" through LinkedIn. In June 2022, they obtained a certification in "Mass Notification Message Sender" from Everbridge. Prior to these certifications, in February 2020, Eric acquired a Professional Teaching License for Language Arts grades 7-12 from the STATE OF ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND EARLY DEVELOPMENT.
