Director Of Enterprise Architecture at Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium

Garret Spargo has a diverse range of work experience spanning several industries. Garret started their career as an intern and technical assistant at the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) in 2000, eventually becoming a computer programmer/analyst and then a product manager. Garret also served as the acting software development manager for the internationally acclaimed AFHCAN telemedicine project.

In 2011, Garret started their own consultancy, Spargo Consulting, which provided services including technology evaluation, grant writing, photography, videography, and eLearning development. During this time, they also worked as the technology director for CTeL Innovations, a telehealth consulting firm.

Garret returned to ANTHC in 2013 as the director of the National Telehealth Technology Assessment Resource Center and later became the director of product development for ANTHC's telehealth program. Garret led the development, deployment, and support of telehealth applications for use in healthcare facilities and tribal health organizations.

In 2019, Garret transitioned into the role of audiovisual and videoconferencing manager at ANTHC, where they started a dedicated service line to meet the growing A/V and VTC needs of the organization. Currently, they serve as the director of enterprise architecture, where they are responsible for evaluating, selecting, and planning new technologies and helping IT define value across the organization.

Garret's work experience also includes a role as a crew member and deckhand for various fishing vessels from 1995 to 2013. Garret also worked as a videographer/editor at Seattle Pacific University in 2004.

Overall, Garret's experience includes a focus on telehealth technology, enterprise architecture, and audiovisual services, with a strong emphasis on innovation and problem-solving.

Garret Spargo's education history includes a Master of Arts (MA) in Social Science - Anthropology from the University of Chicago, which they obtained from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2005, they attended Seattle Pacific University where they pursued a degree in English with a specialization in Creative Writing.
